The Role
Join Nine Mile’s APAC ETF Market Making team as a Trader, based in Sydney, with a primary focus on markets in APAC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing trading strategies across APAC and Global ETFs with a deep understanding of ETF structure, creation/redemption mechanics, and primary vs secondary market dynamics
- Applying advanced ETF pricing models, fair value calculation, NAV estimation, and arbitrage logic across APAC ETF markets.
- Researching and identifying new ETF trading.
- Collaborating closely with the broader market-making team.
- Designing, implementing, and enhancing algorithmic trading strategies and execution tools
- Proactively engaging with regulators, issuers, exchanges, and brokers across the APAC region
What You Will Bring
- 2+ years of relevant trading experience at a High-Frequency Trading or Market Making firm, ideally with direct exposure to ETFs
- Strong knowledge of ETF mechanics, pricing, NAV calculation, index replication, creation/redemption flows, and arbitrage strategies
- Proficiency in Python.
- Highly advanced capability in probability and statistics
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for financial markets, particularly systematic and quantitative trading
- Strong academic record in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
