Nine Mile is on the lookout for a Fixed Income, Trader to join our electronic principal trading firm. The role:

Nine Mile is searching for a capable Trader to join our Fixed Income Trading Operations based in Sydney. Responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Formulate Fixed Income trading strategy and execution
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and insights directly impacting the Fixed Income market
  • Implementation of algorithmic strategies and associated tools
  • Research and identify new opportunities
  • Collaboration with the broader market making team
  • Proactively engage with regulators, Issuers, Exchanges and Brokers.

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant trading experience at a High Frequency Trading Firm
  • Thorough understanding of the Fixed Income landscape
  • Understanding of required pricing, hedging, and trading principles
  • A passion for the financial markets
  • Strong Academic record in Mathematics degree
  • Strong programming skills
  • Highly advanced ability in probability and statistics
  • Highly advanced inductive and deductive reasoning ability
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
