The Role:

As a Nine Mile Senior FPGA Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems. Responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the evolution of our hardware solutions, focusing on the delivery and implementation of FPGA development.
  • Engage in the entire development cycle, from concept to production, including hardware selection, FPGA design, and system testing.
  • Develop and implement strategic signal processing algorithms, ensuring they align with hardware and software requirements.
  • Design internal protocols for reviewing and monitoring system performance and safety standards, ensuring ongoing system maintenance.
  • Coordinate the installation and ordering of technical systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and procedures.
  • Contribute to the ideation and creation of electronic components, circuits, and systems used in computer, communication, and control systems.
  • Design software, with a focus on embedded software, to be integrated into internal systems.
  • Conduct research and design programs to test relevant electronic components, circuits, and systems.
  • Design communication bearers based on wired, optical fiber, and wireless communication media.

What you will bring:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a related field
  • VHDL and/or SystemVerilog, as well as a programming language (preferably C++)
  • Experience dealing with Ethernet and TCP/IP.
  • A scripting language, preferably Python
  • Experience in implementing high speed, low latency programmable logic design
  • Understanding of network protocols and network infrastructure
  • Exposure to Linux
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine interest in financial markets
  • Strong academic record in a Computer Systems, IT Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Technology Degree
