The Role:
As a Nine Mile Site Reliability Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems. Responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Designing, implementing, and managing robust platform infrastructure
- Responsible for managing daily pre-flight checks process
- Manage intraday trouble shooting, hot fixes, patching, platform upgrades, performance tuning, and management of the physical environment
- Design and implement solutions to ensure systems can scale up and down as needed Automation of routine tasks and processes
- Proactively monitoring systems for performance and anomalies
- Collaborate directly with traders and developers to help solve problems in real time
- Analyzing trends and optimizing performance
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field
- Development in either Java, C++ or C#
- A scripting language, preferably Python
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Understanding of network protocols and some experience configuring physical equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine interest in financial markets
- Strong academic record in a computer science degree
